Following on from Culture Call, the FT's popular Life & Arts podcast, the Financial Times has launched its latest audio offering, the FT Weekend podcast.
Each Saturday, FT Weekend brings listeners in-depth discussions with writers, artists, and thinkers inside and outside of the Financial Times. You’ll hear from journalists and special guests, as they explore what’s in the cultural zeitgeist, and bring these discussions to you, in the form of original reporting and storytelling.
Hosted by Lilah Raptopoulos, the FT’s US head of engagement, FT Weekend aims to showcase conversations surrounding today's culture, big ideas, nuanced questions and what it means to live a good life.
FT Weekend provides intimate discussions of critical talking points in a fun and escapist manner. The podcast takes the FT’s award-winning Life & Arts reporting and brings it to you in an audio format.

Every weekend, you can expect to hear from a variety of world-renowned guests, each one experts in their field. In the first few episodes there will be conversations with restaurateur, chef and food activist Alice Waters; Michelin-star chef Daniel Humm; and award-winning novelist Elif Shafak.
Beyond this, Lilah will discuss ‘Visiting Afghanistan’ with Jonathan Boone, ‘Consider Cities’ with Enuma Okoro, tour the world's spite houses with Edwin Heathcote, and much more.
The FT teaches me how the world works but FT Weekend always makes me think about the world. It explores the people, pleasure, and ideas that make money and power meaningful. It's exciting to bring all that to life in audio form, and to invite you in.
