Ana Barros is a Non Executive Director at Abanca. She began her professional career as an investment banking analyst at Nomura. Between 1996 and 2010, she worked at Citigroup, where she became head of investment banking. From 2010 to 2018, she has developed her professional career in Barclays, occupying the position of head of corporate finance and investment banking, and from 2015 to 2018, as general manager of investment banking.

In July 2019, she was appointed member of the Board of Directors of ABANCA Corporación Bancaria, S.A.

Dr. Aradhana Sarin is currently Chief Financial Officer at Alexion. She joined Alexion in November 2017, serving as Chief Business and Strategy Officer prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer. She has more than 20 years of professional experience spanning operating roles at Alexion and advisory roles at global financial institutions, gaining extensive knowledge of global healthcare systems, capital markets and strategic transactions.

Prior to joining Alexion, Dr. Sarin was Managing Director, Healthcare Corporate & Investment Banking, Citi Global Banking in New York where she advised clients in the life sciences and biopharmaceutical sectors. Before that, she was Managing Director, Healthcare Investment Banking, UBS, in New York and San Francisco and worked at JP Morgan in New York in the M&A Advisory and Healthcare groups.

Prior to her banking career, Dr. Sarin trained as a medical doctor in India and spent two years practising in both India and Africa. She completed her medical training (M.B.B.S.) at the University of Delhi in India and received her MBA from Stanford Business School in the US.

From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Sarin was a member of the board of OraSure Technologies, Inc., serving as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Jérôme Souied is a partner in the firm, member of our global board (January 2019), leader of the Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions practices in EMEA and a member of the Consumer and Retail practices. He advises investors around the world and allows them to increase the value of the assets they have under management by accompanying them throughout the life cycle (pre-acquisition, post-acquisition, exit) of their investments.

Andrew Herbert is BRE Group’s Chief Financial Officer with over 25 years experience in change programmes and turnaround work. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and has since held senior management positions in a wide range of organisations in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors including NatWest Group, Guide Dogs for the Blind and more recently the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

He also works as a non-executive director having held a range of positions including chairman of Octavia Housing a registered housing association based in West London and past chair of the London Society of Chartered Accountants.

In one of his previous roles Andrew was managing director of Radio Taxis Group where he championed the move to becoming the first carbon neutral transport business as part of the company’s overall CSR plan. Andrew has spoken at numerous conferences on the business benefits of going carbon neutral and practises what he preaches having embarked on a personal project to restore a late Victorian town house, in a conservation area, whilst trying to achieve as low a carbon footprint as possible.

Dr. Gerry Craigen is a psychiatrist with a full-time private practice in Toronto. He graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, and completed his residency in Toronto. Prior to medical school, he completed a law degree at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Craigen is an Associate Staff Psychiatrist at the University Health Network. For decades, he has been teaching medical legal issues and bioethics, at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine, where he is Assistant Professor and an award winning educator. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.

He also is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American College of Psychiatrists. He is an executive member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association where he is the second Vice President elect.

Dr. Craigen’s research interests are in data ethics and digital mental health. He has published in peer-reviewed journals.

Tigran Karapetyan serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Capital Asset Management CJSC and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Corporate Governance Center. He leads the team of legal counsels carrying out the legal due diligence assignments of private equity deals in Armenia. Conducts private company valuation based on the EVCA’s International Private Equity and Venture Capital Business Valuation Guidelines. Completed debt IPOs for Armenian banks and companies, one being the first in the Armenian non-financial sector (investment advice, underwriting and market making). Focuses on private equity business, and the management of the investment and pension funds.

Andy serves as LKQ Euro Car Parts’ CEO after rejoining the business in January 2019. Maggie Mills is a Senior Partner at Ernst & Young, experienced in restructuring professional in the UK and international markets. Sir Jonathan Thompson is CEO of the Financial Reporting Council. Prior to joining the FRC Sir Jon was the CEO of HMRC, the UK Tax Authority, collecting more than £625billion, employing more than 65,000 people and driving reform of the UK tax system.

Before HMRC, Sir Jon was Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, jointly leading the £36bn organisation with the Chief of the Defence Staff. Sir Jon has had a lengthy finance career including as Director General, Finance at the MoD, Director General, Corporate Services at the Department for Education and Finance Director of Ofsted. Before joining the Civil Service in 2004 Jon held a number of corporate services and finance roles in the public and corporate sectors.

Edward Chandler is Fremman Capital’s Founding Partner. Prior to Fremman, Edward was at PAI Partners for 12 years, latterly as a Partner, where he led transactions in the Healthcare and the Hospitality sectors. Before this Edward was in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch and, prior to that, held various operating roles at Unilever.

Pankaj Gupta is Gulf Islamic Investments’ CEO with over 22 years of rich investment banking, tech investments and asset management experience in the United Arab Emirates in various leadership roles.

Prior to Co-founding Gulf Islamic Investments in 2014, he was Head of Investment Business Development at Allied Investment Partners, a UAE-based investment banking company he contributed to build from inception in 2007, to manage the assets of number of prominent business people and leading members of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. Pankaj was also instrumental in starting Union National Financial Consultancy in 2004, an investment advisory company (which changed its name to Gulf Islamic Investments in 2014) dedicated to assist prominent members of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family in advising on their assets.

During his time at AIP and UNFC, he was responsible, among other things, for the advisory and management of a $2.5 billion investment portfolio, in addition to a number of advisory mandates, which included well in excess of $4 billion in successful debt and equity syndication. Prior to AIP and UNFC, he was a part of Investment Banking Division of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (now FAB), where he successfully introduced Indian investment opportunities to NBAD’s investors.

Pankaj has also been involved in many projects and start-ups, and sits on Management Board & Advisory Board of multiple companies. He is also Ambassador & Strategic Advisor to Horasis (leading emerging market forum). Andrew Hindle is an experienced Independent Consultant specialising in digital identity and cybersecurity. He supports a number of clients in the software and Internet of Things industries with early-stage product marketing and business development expertise. He currently consults to Confyrm. He is Content Chair for Identiverse, the leading digital identity and security industry conference, is a voting member of the User Managed Access Working Group at Kantara, and is an active member of the Open Identity Exchange (OIX). He also serves on the board of IDPro, where he chairs the editorial committee. He has deep and current knowledge and experience in internet and cloud identity security, including OAuth, UMA, OpenID Connect, SAML, XACML and related standards.

Bas van Buijtenen is a Business Executive and Non-Executive Board Member (IDP-C) who has devoted his career to growing businesses in drug delivery, health & nutrition, pharma packaging and (specialty) materials.

In 2020, he joined LTS Lohmann Therapie Systeme, as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board, to drive the development and execution of its corporate strategy, building on an impressive track record as a leader in transdermal and transmucosal drug delivery.

Previously, he was President of the Injectables Division of Aptar Pharma, driving the groups’ global activities in devices and components for parenteral drug delivery.

Earlier in his career he held a number of global and regional leadership positions in Human Nutrition at Royal DSM, the leader in health ingredients for pharma, nutraceuticals, infant and F&B markets.

He started his career at that same company, fulfilling commercial roles in various parts of their polymers business.

An experienced Executive leader and Board member bringing a wealth of experience in Operational, Commercial, Governance and Strategic leadership to the organisations I work for. In my role at National Nuclear Laboratory I have full accountability for end-to-end delivery; partnering with stakeholders to understand how NNL can use our unique capabilities to develop innovative solutions that deliver real value. My role includes the safe and secure operation of an estate of complex nuclear facilities, across multiple sites, with a replacement value in excess of £1bn. Through the implementation of an extensive change programme across the business I have provided the leadership, governance and control to deliver 15% pa growth across the last two years and established a solid forward sales pipeline for the next decade. I firmly believe that investing time and energy in building relationships creates real teamwork, this, alongside championing high quality communications internally and externally empowers teams to deliver outstanding results. As a Board member I am a key contributor to both the Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee and Environment, Health, Safety & Security Committee.

Dr Fiona Rayment OBE has been a Fellow of the Nuclear Institute since 2014 and is an excellent example of nuclear professionalism at its very best. As an internationally recognised Subject Matter Expert, Fiona is a nuclear professional at the top of her game.

She is Executive Director of the Nuclear Innovation and Research Office (NIRO), a division of NNL. NIRO is charged with providing strategic nuclear advice to HM Government.

Her impressive career spans three decades in the UK and overseas. Her impact on the industry has been such that she was awarded the OBE in 2017 in recognition of her services to nuclear innovation and research.

In addition to and alongside her role with NIRO, Fiona also contributes to a quite astonishing array of organisations, holding Board positions across the industry and participating regularly in international nuclear conferences, the media and parliamentary committees and consultations.

As Chair of the Nuclear Skills Strategy Group (NSSG), she is influential in driving major developments in the sector. The NSSG is a key feature of a new UK wide partnership approach on skills with membership including the government and nuclear employers. It will address skills infrastructure and the training needed to secure the supply of qualified and competent people for the industry.

Clare Barlow lives in Preston with her husband Warren and daughter Hannah and is the HR Director and Board Member at the National Nuclear Laboratory.

Clare grew up in Liverpool and really enjoyed school. She loved maths and went on to do maths A level. After leaving school, Clare decided against going to university and went on to work at CBS Batteries as an Accountancy Trainee where she made the most of all the opportunities that came her way.

Clare then went back to study and get her degree in Business whilst balancing working at the same time. After moving around a few companies, in 1990 Clare started working for Kawneer where she eventually became Head of HR.

After taking a step-down to learn more about the business side of her job, she had the opportunity to travel to many different countries and throughout these jobs, Clare had a mentor which she valued greatly, and she felt she learnt a great deal through this period. Clare went on to have jobs in British Airways and BAE Systems where she was HR Director for almost ten years.

Post his retirement from Royal Dutch Shell, Richard has a portfolio of global advisory positions for boards and senior c-suite executives in the Downstream Oil, Chemicals and other industries predominantly focusing on corporate transformations ahead of the Energy Transition. He is also pursuing personal interests including teaching, philanthropy and more time spent with family and friends.

In his last London based VP role, Richard oversaw and led many of Shell Downstream’s more complex and/or larger M&A activities. In addition, he was Shell’s lead Non-Executive Director on the board of two pan-African JVs: Vivo Energy and Shell Vivo Lubricants. He also co-led Shell Chemicals 2050 strategic review resulting in the RDS Board decision to make Chemicals a growth engine for the company.

Immediately prior to this appointment he was VP, Downstream Portfolio Americas and Global PCRO. In this role, he led all M&A activities for Shell Downstream in the Americas and managed integration/implementation of Downstream transactions globally as well as post-closing rights & obligations (PCRO) from previous transactions. He also had responsibility for global legacy issues for ex-Shell Downstream businesses and other cross business liabilities such as Shell’s former Agricultural business and asbestos litigation in the US which together with PCRO included the management of balance sheet liabilities exceeding $1bln. Richard was, during his time in this role, also a Non-Executive Director of Shell Oil Products Company LLC, Equilon Enterprises LLC, Pennzoil-Quaker State Company and various other US Downstream companies of RDS.

Previously he led Strategy & Portfolio activities for Shell Lubricants in the Eastern Hemisphere with regional business accountability. Prior to that he was Manager, M&A for Shell Chemicals including being a member of the Portfolio Task Force that divested 40% of the then Chemicals portfolio during 1999/2000 and Enterprise Account Manager for Shell Chemicals focusing on some of the top 15 strategic global customers with sales of over $4bln.

Richard had joined Shell in 1992 as Technology Director of the then newly acquired North American PET business, the leading material for food and beverage packaging, and was soon appointed as the global head of this Chemicals business.

Richard has a B.Sc. with Honours in Metallurgy and Materials Science (Nottingham University, UK) and a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry (Royal Military College of Science/Imperial College, UK). He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and recently completed a graduate diploma from the FT in non-executive directorships. Prior to joining Shell, he held appointments for 14 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in various roles including Strategy, Manufacturing Director, Technology Director and President of a JV.

During his industrial career Richard has lived in the UK, Luxembourg, Japan, Singapore and the USA. He has led or been accountable for approximately 50 M&A transactions with a combined headline size of circa $20bln with different counter party types (major corporations, small businesses, family companies and private equity firms). This was undertaken in multiple countries & cultures (including the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the Caribbean, France, Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Australia, India, China and the Middle East).

Angus is the Chief Executive Officer at Smart DCC and has an extensive telecoms background. Most recently Angus was a Senior Vice President for Global Enterprise Products at Vodafone and, until 2013, the Managing Director of Customer Services and CRM at BT. Previously he has held senior positions within Cable & Wireless and Ciena.

Jason Clark is the Chief Financial Officer at Smart DCC. Before joining Smart DCC, Jason spent two years as the Chief Financial Officer at Bristol Airport, where he had Board level responsibility for Finance, Risk Management, Procurement and IT. Prior to this, Jason spent the majority of his career in the energy industry with RWE, working across upstream and downstream businesses in the UK and Europe, with his last position being the UK Finance Director for RWE npower.

Swamy Kocherlakota is the Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer for S&P Global and is responsible for driving digital transformation and delivering productivity improvements for our customers and employees. With a focus on leading-edge technology and digital ecosystems, Swamy and his team are responsible for building a secure, scalable and resilient foundation that helps S&P Global power the markets of the future.

Prior to S&P Global, Mr. Kocherlakota was SVP, Global Head of Technology Operations & Infrastructure at Visa, Inc. where he oversaw global infrastructure and applications that processed over 130 billion transactions annually. Before VISA, he was at BNY Mellon as the head of Global Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture and led their infrastructure transformation. Mr. Kocherlakota holds the recognition of being a distinguished engineer at Lucent Bell Labs where he managed technology for Lucent and its ventures.

Mr. Kocherlakota is a NASD registered representative and has a PhD in Computer Science from Michigan State University.

Dimitra is Executive Vice President, Chief Purpose Officer of S&P Global. She oversees People, Marketing, Corporate Responsibility, DEI, and Communications. She serves as a board member at S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, S&P Global Foundation, and the British American Business Inc. where she also serves on the Nominating and Compensation Committee.

She has taught as an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business, USA, Cornell University, USA, Mountbatten Institute/St Mary’s College, United Kingdom and Monash University, Australia.

Tasha has been at S&P Global for five years. As Chief Corporate Counsel & Corporate Secretary she supports the S&P Global Board of Directors and provides advice on corporate governance, securities and disclosure matters. She leads the Corporate Legal team responsible for advising on corporate legal matters, including privacy, M&A, IP, compensation, vendor agreements and international corporate matters.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Tasha was a senior associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP where her practice area focused on compensation and benefits (including related securities, regulatory and tax issues) with some employment law and mergers and acquisitions experience. Tasha has represented a wide range of U.S. and international public and private companies, executives and management teams, and compensation committees and boards.

While at Shearman & Sterling LLP, Tasha was seconded to Morgan Stanley for 10 months, where she counseled and partnered with senior officers in management, HR, strategy & execution, finance and tax on complex executive compensation matters on a global and firmwide basis.

Tasha received her BA from University of California, Berkeley and her JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Martin E. Diaz Plata is a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets with primary responsibility for Latin America and Emerging Europe and the Middle East. He has been a member of the Investment Committee/Portfolio Management Committee since 2012. Prior to joining the Private Markets team in 2003, Martin spent seven years with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, first as an investment banking associate, and later as a principal of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, in New York and Buenos Aires. Prior to that, he spent three years with Corporación Financiera del Valle in Bogota in asset management and brokerage positions. Martin is a graduate of Universidad Externado de Colombia and holds an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Martin serves on the board of directors of several portfolio companies including D1, Tanner Servicios Financieros, Eaton Towers, and O Telhar. He was previously a director of Arcos Dorados, Jumbo Retail Argentina S.A. and Peñaflor S.A. Martin also serves on the board of directors of the Latin American Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, where he is chairman of the Public Policy and Global Standards Council, and as vice chairman of the British and Colombian Chamber of Commerce.

Mark Vale is a President at UPS, responsible for the company’s UK, Ireland and Nordics operations. He joined UPS in 1988 as a finance and accounting manager for Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, and has since held multiple roles in the company’s finance department.

In 2010, Mark took over as chief financial officer for international operations before being appointed vice president and corporate controller in 2015.
